About Us

William, “Bill”, is a dedicated financial advisor with a passion for helping clients achieve their financial aspirations. With over 39 years of comprehensive investment planning experience, Bill has a deep understanding of various investment strategies and specializes in providing personalized guidance that aligns with each client’s specific needs and goals.  He has consistently been named to Wells Fargo Advisor’s Platinum Council (2009-2023), (previously known as Premier Advisors) a distinction held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured by one or more of the following: completion of educational components, business production from the previous year, and professionalism. Additional consideration may have included best practices and team structure. Bill and his team were name by Forbes as one of the Best-In-State Wealth Management Teams for 2024, and Bill has been recognized in 2023 and 2024 by Forbes as one of the Best-In-State Wealth Advisors**.

Before joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 2009, Bill started as financial advisor with PaineWebber in 1984, which was later acquired by UBS in 2000. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Arizona State University and worked for several years as the head tennis professional for the City of Scottsdale before transitioning to his financial services career. He holds his FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations and various state insurance licenses.

Bill resides in Scottsdale, close to his adult children Cassie and Tyler, and new grandchild, Aubrey. Cassie is a physical therapist in Scottsdale and holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida where she was also a member of the Women’s Tennis Team. Cassie then earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2018. Bill brought his son, Tyler, into the business in 2021 and formally created, “The Hochwalt Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors” in the fall of 2022. Bill enjoys spending time with his family and is very passionate about tennis and loves playing whenever he can.

Tyler began his career with Wells Fargo Advisors in 2021 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance with Highest Distinction from Indiana University. He became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner in 2024 and holds his FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations, as well as his Arizona insurance license.

As a financial advisor, Tyler’s job is centered around harnessing the power of numbers to navigate life’s most significant challenges. At the heart of his work is comprehensive investment planning, a field where he demonstrates a deep level of expertise. Part of this critical function is creating multiple scenario analyses to prepare for and help secure the financial well-being of our clients, striving to ensure that investment strategies are aligned with their specific goals, objectives, and risk tolerances. In addition, he conducts detailed research of individual companies, utilizing insights from a variety of sources. This analytical approach allows him to thoroughly understand companies from the ground up, assessing their intrinsic value and investment potential based on fundamental analysis, while also considering the broader economic and industry trends that may impact their performance.

Before beginning his career in financial services, Tyler played collegiate tennis at the University of Florida from 2007-2009. He continued his journey in professional tennis, competing on both the ATP and ITF tennis tours until 2018, at which point he refocused on his studies and completed his college degree. While completing his degree, he ran a successful professional tennis coaching business based out of Los Angeles

Tyler resides in Scottsdale with his wife, Morgan, and daughter, Aubrey. He enjoys being outside, playing tennis or golf, and spending time with his family.

Amy began her financial services career at a small investment banking firm in 1995. In 1997, she transitioned to Norwest Investments, a predecessor of Wells Fargo Advisors as a registered sales assistant. With 28 years of experience, Amy has a deep understanding of the level and quality of service our clients expect, she has valuable insights into the unique needs of our clients.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Law & Society from Purdue University. She holds the FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 securities registrations and her Arizona insurance license.

Amy resides in Cave Creek with her husband, Deven, and two children, Cody and Brooke. She enjoys supporting her children in their various activities, working out and spending time with the family.
